Renovation Week One

Drew and I both share a passion for good design. As a qualified Interior Designer, and Drew, a qualified Electrician, we have both grown up with the dream of one day being able to do our own renovation, utilising the skills we have acquired from our studies and experiences.
Today is the day our dream becomes a reality! We just purchased our first home together. A run down deceased estate - 1.5 bedroom apartment in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney. Unfortunately we couldn’t attend the auction as we had already booked a trip away to Byron, so we sent out parents to do the bidding on our behalf. Lucky for us (maybe because we had already designed the new floor plan) we were successful in securing the property.
The apartment needs a lot of work but we think we are the right people for the job.
Our purchase even got a mention in the The Sydney Morning Herald. A bit unfortunate we weren’t the headline, but it was all very exciting in itself.
